Fresh Oysters, Cold Beer, Ocean Air

Beach Haven's go-to raw bar and saloon, steps from the water on Long Beach Island.

About Us

Parker's Garage & Oyster Saloon sits at 116 Northwest Ave in Beach Haven, and the name alone tells you something honest about the place: it's a little rough around the edges, a little unexpected, and a whole lot of fun. The "garage" isn't just a nod to the building's past. It's a personality. Expect exposed wood, cold drafts, and a crowd that showed up in flip-flops and doesn't apologize for it.

The oyster bar is the real draw. Local bivalves get the respect they deserve here, shucked to order and served on the half shell with the classics alongside some creative preparations that keep regulars coming back. The menu doesn't try to be everything to everyone, and that restraint is exactly what makes it work. Seafood is the star, the Jersey Shore is the backdrop, and the atmosphere does the rest.

With a 4.4-star rating built on more than 700 honest reviews, Parker's has earned its reputation the old-fashioned way: show up, do the thing well, repeat. Summer crowds pack the place, but the spirit stays the same whether it's August or a quiet Tuesday in October.

What We Offer

The oyster selection changes with the season and the catch, which means your plate in July won't look exactly like your plate in September. That's a feature, not a bug. Half-shell service is the centerpiece, but the kitchen turns out solid supporting acts: chowders, raw bar platters, grilled fish, and bar bites that hold their own against the main event.

The bar program leans into what the Shore crowd actually wants. Local craft beers, cold lagers, classic cocktails with a salty twist, and a wine list that doesn't overthink things. Happy hour gives you a reason to show up early, and the saloon atmosphere gives you a reason to stay late.

Private events and group bookings are available for parties who want to claim a corner of this place for themselves. Whether it's a post-beach celebration or a low-key rehearsal dinner that would rather have oysters on ice than a three-course plated meal, Parker's can make it happen.

"Parker’s Garage delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and perfect for celebrating a special occasion. We were there for a birthday dinner, and every detail exceeded expectations. A huge shoutout to our server, Nick, whose professionalism, knowledge, and genuine hospitality elevated the entire evening. He struck the perfect balance between attentive and relaxed, making us feel like valued guests from start to finish. The meal was exceptional. We began with the homemade honey butter bread infused with rosemary and olive oil an unforgettable start. The lamb ribs were tender and packed with flavor, the East and West Coast oysters were impeccably fresh, and the shrimp cocktail, tuna crackers, kettle shrimp, and calamari showcased the kitchen’s ability to execute every dish flawlessly. For our entrées, the surf and turf was outstanding, the scallops were cooked to perfection, and the tilefish with truffle and caviar was one of the most elegant and delicious seafood dishes we’ve ever had. The lobster paired beautifully with the broccoli, and even the side of leeks was prepared with remarkable attention to detail. Just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, dessert arrived. The donuts were absolutely incredible warm, fresh, indulgent, and the perfect ending to a birthday celebration. They disappeared almost instantly from the table. The fact that Parker’s Garage is BYOB makes the experience even better, and the staff was incredibly accommodating throughout the evening. Exceptional food, impeccable service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. This is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why dining out can be such a special experience. Without question, one of the best meals we’ve had all year. We can’t wait to return!"

"Great food, fresh seafood, and great service! Went with a group of 5 and had made a reservation 2 weeks in advance. Loved the seafood and Mac and cheese. BYOB so definitely bring some wine or something fun to drink. Highly recommend the combo so you can try a variety of seafood. The corn was so tasty and unique! The lobster corn dogs were super unique too. Highly recommend if you are in the area looking for a nice dinner!"

"I do really like this restaurant. Good variety of appetizers and mains. Great ambience. Food quality is generally very good. Tonight we had the fish and chips (ok), halibut, salmon and flounder all excellent with sides of the potato and Mac and Cheese. Love the tuna cracker and clams were top notch while shrimp gumbo was just ok. Wish they had the cornbread that comes with fried chicken dish as a side. Service was great although I’m turned off a little by any restaurant that makes you order your mains and appetizers at same time. BYOB."

"This is by any stretch of the imagination the most overrated eatery on LBI. The food was nothing short of terrible. Some of the items we ordered were literally inedible. Ingredients are not quality and certainly not commensurate with the pricing. The menu is creative and well done, but the execution is nothing short of horrific. A freezer burned pork belly that accompanied some pretty tasteless scallops, risotto on my sone dish that was simply disgusting, a great looking uninspired flavor profile chicken dish and lamb ribs that were actually pretty tasty but so incredibly fatty that they were nearly inedible. Ambiance is truly special and our waiter was beyond delightful and knowledgeable. After seeing your response to this restaurant review, I am compelled to respond to your response. My food criticism is accurate and right on point for the food that was served to us that evening. I have been in the restaurant industry for my entire career and am never inclined to review negatively any eatery unless its deserved. Your response was not terribly constructive. I complimented your creative menu, ambiance and your exceptional server. But you failed to recognize that and were offended by the negative commentary, I suggest that you consider the possible accuracy of the statements made instead of attacking your guest that paid his check without making a fuss, before you lose more and more customers. This review was not the only bad one regarding your food, so stop pretending that it is. Sorry if my only way of conveying my sentiments was via this media without causing other guests dining nearby to hear the commentary. That deserves a thank you instead of a scolding."

"I usually love the food here and everything I got was amazing accept the lobster. It did not taste very good but usually everytime I get lobster it tastes good. I loved the New England clam shower croquettes those are always amazing and the Caesar salad was so good along with the Mac and cheese! My sister got the fried chicken and it was actually really good. I got the combo and I loved the scallops, shrimp and crab cakes I just didn’t enjoy the lobster."
